DON'T STOP, YOU'LL DIE! v0.0.1.1 Update
Thanks to everyone who's played and shared feedback so far! This is just a small update with some bug fixes, balances and QoL changes! Check out the patch notes below!
GAMEPLAY:
- Player can now manually reload the currently equipped weapon;
- "R" on Keyboard / "Left Trigger" on Controller.
- Removed excessively large room from the level generation on LIMBO 1-1 -> LIMBO 1-5
- Shotgun Straggler bullets now have a shorter lifetime and limited range; Lifespan: 5 -> 2.
- Max travelable distance: inf -> 3.
- Slowed down Azrael's phase 3 attack pattern; 0.4 -> 0.55
- Enemy bullets now correctly collide with walls.
- Weapon crosshair now in the correct position when switching to a gamepad.
- Added new rooms to Limbo’s level generation:
- x5 new room layouts.
AUDIO:
- All music and SFX now hooked up through the correct audio mixers. Volume can be adjusted via the options menu.
ART:
- Added placeholder art to the hub world, to avoid the tilemaps flickering weirdly.
- Added placeholder art to the end room.
ANIMATION:
- Removed the crosshair spin animation upon weapon reloading.
- The correct animation plays when the player enters the level exit trigger zone.
OPTIMISATION:
- Enemy bullets now correctly collide with walls.
- Decreased Enemy bullet lifetime: 5 seconds -> 3.5 seconds.
MISC:
- Dropped minimap HUD transparency so it no longer blocks the top right of the screen.
- Reduced how far the camera moves from the center of the player when crosshair is moved to the edge of the screen.
- Level name UI now disappears slightly quicker: 5 seconds -> 2 seconds.
- Added a barebones options menu;
- Visual, Audio and Misc options available.
- Player bullets now collide with walls in the HUB world.
BUG FIXES:
- Random room no longer spawns overlapping another room.
- Fixed an issue where floors weren't lining up correctly, revealing the tilemap underneath.
- Fixed inconsistencies with Azrael's phase 1 attack.
- Fixed a bug that caused the cursor to not appear sometimes in the menu/ pause menu.
- Fixed a bug that caused the player to stop moving even when input is being pressed.
- Player no longer takes damage when standing still in portal rooms.
