DON'T STOP, YOU'LL DIE! v0.0.1.2 Update
Hey everyone! The next update is out now! I've been slowly chipping away at the TO DO list, as well as squishing bugs that you have been sending my way! Here are the patch notes for this update!
Note: There are currently a few issues with audio; I'm hoping to have these fixed in the next update, as I am looking into switching the audio handling to FMOD from Unity's default audio system!
BALANCING:
- Removed starter pistol from the shop.
- Increased the percentage chance of AR, AK and SMG weapons appearing in the shop.
- Tweaked Azrael’s HP, and when her boss phases are triggered.
- Increased Enemy health by 5%.
- Increased Pistol damage by 50%.
- Increased AR damage by 50%.
- Increased AK damage by 50%.
- Increased Revolver damage by 75%.
- Increased SMG damage by 85%.
GAMEPLAY:
- Shops now appear on every floor instead of every second floor.
- Added visual feedback to the Health Bar when the player is taking damage and a more subtle feedback when standing still.
- Turned down the visual feedback for the Ability Bar as it felt too overpowering compared to the Health Bar visual feedback.
- Added screen bleed visuals to indicate the player taking damage when they are stationary.
- Camera now pans ahead of the player with a Gamepad.
- Completely changed the way enemies spawn, so the player can’t stand just outside the room and kill all enemies before entering; Enemies now spawn in waves per room.
- Implemented an enemy spawn indicator that appears before enemies spawn.
- Removed smaller rooms.
- Added x5 new room layouts to generation.
- Added x4 new corridor layouts to generation.
- Increased and balanced health drop percentages per Enemy.
- Removed “Razor Blade” item from the shop pool.
- Removed “Guillotine” item from the shop pool.
AUDIO:
- Switched the player weapon shooting sounds to something more realistic and less 8-bit.
ART:
- Changed the Revolver Crosshair sprite to something a little bit more visible.
- Added controls visuals to the options menu for KMB and Gamepad.
- Changed font on all UI elements to something cleaner and more visually appealing.
- Added art to UI elements to fit the games aesthetic better, so no more default Unity UI!
MISC:
- Created a “Tab” system to split up the Options menu - This makes the information a bit easier to digest.
- All doors are now the same size consistently across all room layouts.
BUG FIXES:
- Fixed a bug that caused equipped weapons to not switch consistently.
- Fixed a bug that caused weapons to auto shoot without any input after shooting.
- Player bullets now properly collide with walls and destroy.
- Fixed a bug which caused rooms to overlap sometimes.
- Fixed a bug which caused there to be multiple instances of the FPS counter on screen and overlapping.
- Fixed a bug which caused some room doors to close too early, essentially causing a soft lock.
